JCI Strengthens Thin Closed Friday 2.98 pts

Composite Stock Price Index (CSPI) Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday closed up 2.98 points, thin line with the majority of regional markets after experiencing fluctuations.

JCI Stock Exchange closed up 2.98 points, or 0.07 percent to 3986.41 position. Group of 45 leading shares index (LQ45) recorded rose 0.57 points (0.08 percent) to the position of 702.62 points.

Managing Research Indosurya Asset Management, Priyambada Reza in Jakarta, said Friday, as expected earlier, JCI was eventually able to return to the positive area in today’s trading in line with the positive movement of the majority of Asian stock markets.

“Although time is in the negative area, stock index rebound (higher return) at the end of the session thanks to the strengthening of some large capitalization stocks,” he said.

Millennium Danatama Securities analyst, Abidin added, some market participants back into the stock market towards the end of the closing of stocks that have been depressed before.

Bekasi Labor Demand Salary Increase Again Until USD 2.4 Million / Month

Wall Street ‘Green’ Pushed Stocks Blue Chips

Wall Street, U.S. stocks surged after the blue chips stocks as a result of positive moves kinclongnya performance in quarter IV-2011. Shares of Microsoft and IBM move up but not followed by Google.

In trading Friday (21.01.2012), stock index Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 96.5 points (0.76%) to as low as 12720.48. Meanwhile, shares of the S & P 500 rose 0.88 points (0.07%) to the 1315.38 level. But the Nasdaq stock index edged down 1.63 points (0.06%) to a level of 2786.7.

Dow Jones gain the most positive results because of the financial statements that shine from IBM, Microsoft, and Intel. While General Electric shares fell 0.1% as profits fell 16% in quarter IV-2011.

Even so, market participants continue to monitor the condition of the crisis in Europe, especially the debt crisis in Greece.

Credit Interest Down, Translucent BBTN Rp 2,000?

Shares of the State Savings Bank Tbk PT (BBTN) is rumored to be translucent Rp 2,000 in the near future as the decline in corporate lending rates.

What Is Letter of credit

Letter of credit, or often abbreviated to L / C, LC, or LOC, is an international payment method that allows exporters to receive payment without waiting for news from abroad after the item and file documents sent abroad (to subscribers).

Executors of L / C

  •  Applicant or applicant’s credit is the importer (buyer) who filed the application of L / C.
  • Beneficiary is the exporter (seller) who received the L / C.
  • Issuing bank or opening a bank opening L / C.
  • Advising bank is a bank that went on L / C, the correspondent bank (agent) who continued the L / C to the beneficiary. Bank is not responsible for the content of L / C and only act as an intermediary.
  • Confirming banks are banks that do confirm the request of the issuing bank and guarantee full payment.
  • Paying bank is a bank that is specifically designated in the L / C to make the payment and the beneficiary 
  • Carrier is transporting goods shipped (Shipping Companies / Aviation) for some countries with land borders could also land transport companies such as trucks, trains etc.).

The procedure for payment by L / C

   1. Importer requested the bank (foreign bank) to open an L / C for and on behalf of exporters. In this case, the importer acts as an opener. If the importer complies with the provisions applicable to imports such as the necessity of import permit, then the banks do exchange contracts (KV) with importers and implement the opening of L / C on behalf of the importer. Banks in this case acts as the opening / issuing bank. Opening of L / C is done through one of the correspondent banks abroad. Correspondent bank that acts as an intermediary for the two is referred to as the advising bank or banks notifiying. Advising bank notify exporters of opening L / C is. Exporters who receive L / C called the beneficiary.
   2. Exporters deliver goods to the Carrier, in exchange Exporters will get a bill of lading.
   3. Exporters submit the bill of lading to the bank to get payment. Paying bank then handed some money after they get the bill of lading from the exporter. Bill of lading is then given to the importer.
   4. Importers submit the bill of lading to the carrier in exchange for goods delivered by the exporter.
